  1. Short: VoiceMail for ZyXEL/LineLink/Dolphin/Rockwell

  5. This is version 1.19 of AVM, a voicemail program
  6. that supports ZyXEL, LineLink, Dolphin modems,
  7. and Rockwell modems (beta).  Note, although Supras
  8. are Rockwell modems, they are not supported yet --
  9. Supra Corp has to release ROMs capable of voice on
  10. non-Macintosh computers first.

  12. It can work in conjunction with GPFax and AXsh
  13. (other fax programs or BBSes may be substituted with
  14. some ARexx programming) to provide voice, fax, and
  15. data, all on one line.

  17. This version is a rewrite of ZVM and it requires
  18. MUI 1.4 or greater (it is known to work on MUI 2.0).
  19. It supports multiple lines (if you have multiple
  20. modems of the same type).  You can use AVM as a
  21. simple answering machine or use it to provide
  22. multiple mailboxes.  It can play different "intro"
  23. messages depending on the time of day, day of
  24. week, random, or manual selection.  You can retrieve
  25. your messages remotely, etc.  The caller can
  26. be told of a forwarding number when he enters
  27. a particular mailbox.  There are many enhancements
  28. since 1.11a was released.

  30. This version contains the AVM Programmer and the
  31. AVM Scheduler.  They are demo versions only, but
  32. will show you what these programs are like.

  34. To reduce setup time, I highly recommend that you
  35. also get the pre-recorded English voice files.  When
  36. they are available, they will be called
  37. AVMVEng1.19.lha and will most likely be in the
  38. same directory as this file is in.
